Katrine H. Bakhtiary
Attorney
Katrine H. Bakhtiary was raised in Waldorf, Charles County, Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and went on to attend and receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Bakhtiary participated in the Innocence Project Clinic and served as a Recent Developments Editor for the University of Baltimore School of Law’s legal journal, Law Forum. Ms. Bakhtiary graduated Cum Laude in 2010. She then went on to serve as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Amy J. Bragunier, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland.
In September 2011, she joined the Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney. She remained a prosecutor for the next seven years, serving the community where she grew up. During her time as an Assistant State’s Attorney, Ms. Bakhtiary gained invaluable experience as a trial attorney. She primarily focused on victim-related crimes including burglaries, domestic assaults, rapes, and sexual offenses and was in the courtroom on a daily basis advocating for victims in motions hearings, bench trials, and jury trials.
Ms. Bakhtiary joined the Law Office of Robert R. Castro in January of 2019, as part of the Personal Injury Division, where she is able to translate her skills in advocating for victims of crimes to advocating for victims of automobile crashes.
